Toro Nagashi (็ฏ็ฑ ๆตใ)
Inspired by the traditional Japanese floating lantern ceremony (*Toro Nagashi*) and the principles of Hansei (honest, gentle self-reflection) and Kaizen (continuous improvement), Toro Nagashi gives you five quiet minutes at the close of every day to inscribe a 3D four-sided paper lantern and release it onto a tranquil, weather-synchronized river.
Rotate a 3D paper lantern cube across four mindful prompts: Gratitude & Release, A Thought to Let Go, Someone I Appreciated, and Peace & Stillness.
Once all four sides are inscribed (one lantern per day, resetting at 4:00 AM), choose your flame hueโHearth Amber, Wisteria Violet, Moonlit Cerulean, or Seafoam Jadeโand set it adrift.
The river environment reflects your real-time local skyโrendering River Mist, Gentle Rain, Light Snow, Blossom Breeze, and Fireflies with realistic shoreline illumination.
Scroll through past dates to inspect past lanterns and search reflections, or toggle Zen Wallpaper View to hide all controls and enjoy peaceful ambient water & chime audio.
"In the spirit of Hansei, every stumble is simply a lantern showing the path. What went well today, and what honest lesson will guide tomorrow?"
